We are pleased to invite you to participate in an exciting new fundraiser
benefiting our own Wilma’s Little People’s School. (This fundraiser will be an
ongoing project for the entire school year.)
The program, sponsored by the Great Lakes Scrip Center, is a dollar for dollar
purchase of gift cards, also called scrip cards, that can be used for purchases
at a variety of local retailers – grocery and department stores and restaurants.
They do not expire and can be used nationwide. Each gift card purchased provides
a direct profit for WLPS in the form of a percentage of the face value,
sometimes as great as 15%. (The gift cards are available for a variety of
stores in a variety of dollar amounts.)
Here’s an example of how it works…
You purchase, through WLPS, a $20 gift card for a particular store.
You receive a $20 gift card for that store (usually in about a week).
WLPS receives, as fundraising cash, a percentage of the face value of the gift
card (the commission amount provided by the retailer) just for securing your
purchase.
Please consider placing an order today! If you have any questions, please
contact Jeanine Garrett, Director of WLPS at ext 7147 or e-mail Karen Poole at
pooleka@yahoo.com. Order forms can be downloaded from our forms page. Just
click on fundraiser order form and print or they are available at the following locations: Wilma’s
Little People’s School, the School of Education Office (F-D), the Cashier’s
Office(H-1), and the Library. Please call (x7147) if you would like one sent to
you via interoffice mail.
Thank you on behalf of the faculty and the children of Wilma’s Little People’s
School.
